Give Us Just One Week, We'll Give You a Better Year

Daily Schedule for the Week

Here is the detailed daily schedule for the week of Colorado Software Summit 2004. On the navigation bar at the left side of this page, you will find a link to each day's schedule (Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday), organized by time of day. You'll also find a speaker cross-reference, which presents the schedule sorted by speaker name.

Detailed Schedule in PDF Format

More detailed versions of this HTML schedule, including the room assignments for each activity, are available as three PDF files. You will need the free Adobe Acrobat Reader to view these files. The first is a daily schedule arranged by day and time, which is similar in format to the HTML version of each day's schedule (such as Monday), but with the addition of room assignments. The second is a daily schedule sorted by speaker name, which is similar in format to the speaker cross-reference, again with the addition of room assignments. The third is available only as a PDF file (no HTML equivalent), and is a "week at a glance" schedule worksheet that is helpful in planning your personal schedule for the week at the conference.

A General Overview of the Week

We begin each day, Monday through Friday, at 7:30 AM with a Continental breakfast in the Conference Center, and the first session begins at 8:30 AM. Each session is 90 minutes long, and we will be running eight sessions concurrently throughout the day. Each tutorial topic will be repeated three times during the week, so you will be able to attend the presentations that interest you the most during the conference. Our three featured keynote speakers, John Soyring of IBM, Simon Phipps of Sun Microsystems, and Tim Bray of Sun Microsystems will speak only once during the week, at a time when there are no other presentations. In addition, IBM will conduct certification testing throughout the week, at the times indicated in the detailed daily schedule.

At 6:20 PM each day, we have a general Question & Answer session . The conference ends after lunch on Friday (the final session that day ends at 11:45 AM). We'll give you a box lunch on Friday, because many people are rushing to catch an airplane; the rest of the week it's a hot lunch. A lot of people stay over through the weekend, and if you do you'll enjoy plenty of good company, as well as the informal Friday Night Pizza Party that is organized by some of our long-time attendees and/or speakers.

Conference Check-in

We will have conference check-in on Sunday, October 24, from 10 AM until 5 PM in the Conference Center. To get to the Conference Center from Keystone Lodge, walk along the lake in front of the shops, until you come to a tunnel that goes under the highway. At the other end of the tunnel is the Conference Center.

If you must arrive too late on Sunday to check in, come on over to the Conference Center first thing Monday morning. We'll be there starting at 7 AM to get you checked in before the conference opening keynote presentation begins at 8:30 AM. Please come as early as possible that morning, we don't want you to miss any of the conference presentations!

Welcoming Reception

We will be hosting a Welcoming Reception on Sunday evening, October 24, from 7 PM until 9 PM, at the Columbine Ballroom in the new wing of the Conference Center. We will have hors d'oeuvres (lots of great food—you won't need dinner that night!) and a cash bar. It's a great opportunity to meet some of our speakers and to begin to get to know the other attendees. Please wear your badge to the reception, it helps people to learn your name if they can see it. If you have brought your family to Keystone, they are welcome at this reception, including children.

We look forward to seeing all our old friends again and welcoming our soon to be new friends to the Colorado Software Summit family. See you all at Keystone!
