2007 Post-Conference CDs Have Been Mailed

We have mailed all of the post-conference CDs to our conference attendees, as of November 7, 2007. Watch for yours, coming soon to a mailbox near you!

Thank You for Attending Colorado Software Summit 2007!

Once again, CSS "Geek Week" has ended, and we had another fantastic conference. Our speakers were terrific — their hard work in preparing for and presenting their topics during the conference was evident throughout the week. Their availability for discussion and questions with our attendees was commented on by many and appreciated by all. Our attendees were outstanding as usual, busy all week until their brains were ready to burst, and the week just flashed by, as it always seems to do.

Thank you, each and every one of you who shared this week with us, for your contribution in making Colorado Software Summit 2007 a great experience for us all!

2007 Post-Conference CDs

We are preparing the post-conference CDs, and we will post a notice here when they have been mailed.

Bring Your Laptop If You Can – Here's Why

When you check in at the conference on Sunday, you will be given a lot of "goodies," including a backpack that has a padded compartment for a laptop, a sweatshirt, a coffee mug, etc. Inside that backpack will be a CD that contains all of the presentations. Every presentation room has a large screen and a very bright projector, and the session sizes are kept quite small compared to other conferences (typically about 50 people), but even with great visiblity you may prefer to follow along with the presentations on your laptop.

The presentations on the CD are in Portable Document Format (PDF). These presentations can be viewed using a current version of the free Adobe Acrobat Reader, which can be downloaded from the Adobe Web site. This reader is available in versions for Windows, Mac, Linux, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX and mobile (Palm OS, Pocket PC and Symbian).

If you copy the PDF files from the CD onto your hard drive, and if you are using Adobe Acrobat Reader, you will be able to make notes directly on the presentations. Other programs that can display PDF files may or may not work for making notes on the presentations.

In addition, we have free WiFi access throughout the conference center so that you can immediately follow links referenced in the presentations, or check your email between sessions if you like.

Detailed Daily Schedule in iCalendar Format

If you are using Apple's iCal calendar application, you can subscribe to this iCalendar format calendar that contains the detailed daily schedule for Colorado Software Summit 2007.

If you have a different calendar program that supports the iCalendar format, you can download this iCalendar file and import it into your calendar program.

Win a Canon Digital SLR, or One of Four iPod Nanos

Each full day of the conference (Monday through Thursday), the last session of the evening is the Daily Raffle and Q&A session. At the beginning of that session, we will have a drawing for an iPod Nano. You must be present to win, and everyone who is attending the conference is eligible to win, including our speakers. If you do win one of these daily items, you will still be eligible to win any of the items in the special Thursday night raffle.

Thursday evening is the last evening of the conference, and we will follow the Daily Raffle with a special raffle, with more prizes to be won. The prizes this year include a Canon Digital Rebel XTi 10.1MP Digital SLR Camera with EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 Lens, and two free registrations for Colorado Software Summit 2008.
